To me its a give and take with which is better. PC or 360. Oblivion is a better experience on a 360 in my opinion. It looks just about identical to the pc version "IF" you have a maxed out PC. I loved this game for the playstation. It was one of my favorite games. I look foward to this for the ps3. Good news. There isn't anything wrong with sequels. Out of all the games announced for the ps3 that are exclusive this is the only one that raises an eyebrow for me. Now is it worth 70 or 80 dollars. We'll see.
Ps3 can output 1080p but with games its the same deal. Games would take a big performance hit. And yes 360 could too with an update to the dash. But to make a game using 1080p wouldn't be ideal. Yeah its the age old question and its all depending on the source. I called Microsoft and asked them. A lot of people were saying that the 360 is native 720p and upscales to 1080i. So I looked into it. And found out that it depends on the game. If you are playing a game that says 720p but you only have a 1080i tv. Then the 360 will upscale it. It depends on the source. Meaning the game. If the game was made to use 1080i then it will look better in that resolution. If a game was made to use 720p then its better in that resolution. But, 1080i is 1920 by 1080 lines of resolution running at 30fps. 720 p is 1280 by 720 lines of reslution running at 60fps.
